So, Baby Alex is kicking around quite a bit now! And rolling and pummeling and generally making walking for any length of time quite an uncomfortable proposition. But I'm not complaining because he's healthy, and because I get another ultrasound in a couple weeks! WooHoo! The doctor says our last one looked good, but they didn't get a good look at his spine, so they need another one... No complaints here, and, as it's at 5:15 in the afternoon - Daughter gets to come, too.
In other news, I think my Bell's Palsy is getting a little bit better, so I'm thankful for that. It's too slow for me, of course, but I'll take any improvements I can get. Hubby and I are trying to decide on how to do up the baby's room. He's refusing to repaint the walls, and I'm certainly not going to, as my last painting escapade resulted in Bell's Palsy, so we're having to incorporate the gold colored walls into a "nautical theme." Ugh. U-G-L-Y. I'm holding out some repainting hope...
Other than that, we're all good! I can't wait to meet our little guy!!

Another Bouncing Baby Boy On The Way
Well, it's a big, blue, bouncing baby boy for us! (Well, I hope he's not actually blue when he's born. That would be bad.) But we're pleased to announce that Gabriel Alexander (Alex) will be joining us, probably 2 - 4 weeks before his actual due date of January 27th! Since both of our other boys go by their middle names, it seemed only fitting for this one to do so, too. As was the case with our soon-to-be middle son, we finally agreed on a name once we saw the ultrasound and the little wee-wee on the screen. We hadn't even left the doctor's office yet! On the medical front, everything with the little guy looks good. He's healthy and is weighing in at just a bit over a pound. However, we still have 3 or 4 weeks to go before he would be able to live on his own if he were born early, so let's hope to continue our uneventful pregnancy!
Yes, we were momentarily, or perhaps a few momentarily's, disappointed that we don't have a girl. I wanted so much to recreate that special relationship I enjoyed with my own mother with a daughter of my own. But at nearly 40, it would seem foolhardy to try again. So, we are pleased to be blessed with another boy, and boys love their mommies, so we're just glad for a healthy baby!
I'll keep y'all posted with anymore news as it happens on the baby front! Next ultrasound will be at 36 weeks, sometime in December, and will likely - if he follows in his brothers' footsteps - be soon followed by an early delivery!

Pink or Blue?
Today's the big day! Today's the big day!!! We find out at 1:45 if we're pink or blue!!! Honestly, besides the Bell's Palsy - which is very slowly getting a little bit better - this has been a mostly unenventful pregnancy so far. I do suffer from heartburn, but that's really normal. One thing I've had this time around, though, is insomnia! I laid awake for over 2 hours last night after waking up to pee, for no apparent reason other than I just couldn't get back to sleep. Of course, I get back to sleeping great just about time to get the boys up for school! But, other than that, we're all good. Hubby and I will head to the doctor about 1:00. I told him once we find out the sex, we'll have to try to agree on names! We've had such a hard time agreeing this time around!
I'll keep y'all posted! Think Pink!! (But blue is good, too!)
