I'm a little bummed that this pregnancy has been so uneventful so far that I haven't had much of anything to blog about. Had I known it was going to be so boring compared to my experience with Baby, I wouldn't have started a whole other blog!
I'm going to suspend posting here for now except the occasional update about doctor appointments or notable events.
If things start to heat up, I'll post here more regularly with news.
In the meantime, feel free to join me on my "regular" blog at realmommynow.blogspot.com, and I'll be sure to note there when there are updates on here!

Looks Good!
According to the nurse/tech, our ultrasound this afternoon looked really good. Of course, the doctor's "official" results will be back next week.
They also pricked my finger to do the chromosomal tests, and I bled like a stuck pig all over the floor!! Geez! I never knew a finger prick could bleed so much! The poor nurse had to clean up the floor!
(Of course, I don't feel too bad, because I waited longer for the nurse to come prick my finger at the end of my appointment, than I waited to get the ultrasound done! I think she forgot me!)

Second Appointment
My doctors appointment yesterday went quite well. Of course, I had the momentary flash of panic when she was trying to find the heartbeat. Thankfully, she found it quickly, and it was good and strong. Still hard to believe there's a kid in here, but I'm looking forward to meeting him/her.
We will find out the sex on Feb. 25th. This Monday, I go in for my nuchal translucency ultrasound, to test for Downs syndrome and such. I wasn't going to do it, but Hubby decided he wanted to, so we're going to keep the appointment. Hey, an ultrasound is an ultrasound, right?
Still hating the stuffy nose. Still hating the dragon breath. But I am getting more excited to meet our newest little one. July, here we come!

No Barfing!
I am very happy to report that I made it through brushing my teeth last night and this morning without barfing. I consider that to be a milestone. I am also using Listerine to its fullest extent in order to combat the atrociousness of my lightly brushed tongue.
I'm glad I could share that with y'all.
I have an OB appointment this afternoon. I am looking forward to being weighed and peeing in a cup again, I assure you.
Will let you know how it goes.

Silly Me
Did I complain yesterday about throwing up while brushing my teeth? Silly me! This morning, I couldn't even put my toothbrush in my mouth without gagging, and when I tried brushing my teeth, I threw up all over the place. Several times. Oh, and still have this sinus thing going on, so all I threw up was a bunch of snot, and now I'm all congested again, thank you very much.
Still counting my blessings that this is the only real problem I've had, but my breath is going to need a government warning if I can't brush my teeth for the next 27 1/2 weeks...

Dragon Breath
Lately, my husband complains that I have dragon breath. I tell him it's his fault because he got me pregnant, and now I can't brush my teeth without throwing up. Seriously, the throwing up every morning sucks in a major way. I got through the entire first trimester with little to no nausea and never threw up once, but now, I even try to brush the hideousness off my tongue, and it all comes up.
The weirdness of pregnancy is always amazing, isn't it?
I am now chewing gum religiously and avoiding breathing as much as possible, at least when other people are around.
